“There’s no money in writing. Find another career,” my mom used to tell me.

But here I am doing just that — for brands that believe in and push for brave ideas.

While she still has no idea of what it is I really do, I feel the most rewarded when she sees and smiles at any of the ads I’ve worked on. And that’s more than enough reason to keep scribbling down words, phrases (anything!!!) that may inspire big ideas on my trusty Hobonichi notebook.
